Quick Buck Thursday

No celebration this week at QBT. Although we did go 2-3 last week, so at least there is some progress.

I'm here to admit it, I've ridden the ACC roller coaster and I've lost. Can't do it anymore. You win ACC! And at least I wasn't the only one baffled by how bad Boise shut down Hawaii. I was certain the game would've been competitive.

Any way on with this week.

(One note: Damn Tuesday games. I had NIU as my lock of the week!)

Minnesota @ Illinois -20.5
The Illini's defense is good. I know that crazy to say after they let Michigan score 67. And I think their offense is getting a rhythm. Add in that their next win gets them bowl eligible and this game points to and Illinois blow out.

Mississippi State +13.5 @ Alabama
I know this looks crazy. With Alabama coming off the loss and probably angry. But MSU is actually a pretty respectable team this year. Plus they are 4-2 ATS in conference games this year. And guess who is 2-4. I don't expect Mullen and Crew to get the W, but I could see this end in a 10 point loss.

Texas A&M @ Baylor +3
Yes A&M is on a winning streak. But I think they're getting too much credit for beating a bad OU team (bad by OU standards). Baylor has followed up a loss ATS with a win every time this year. And they haven't lost a game at home. As a little bonus here, you might take Baylor and the money line (+130).

USC +4.5 @ Arizona
Yeah so here's to road dogs. USC is a team that has been overlooked for the most part. They've played one of the toughest schedules this season so far. Arizona hasn't faced a top 25 offense this season. And oh by the way, since the Iowa win, they are 1-5 ATS.

Utah -5.5 @ Notre Dame
Well let's balance out the road dogs with a favorite. Look Utah was embarrassed last weekend nationally. This is a chance to redeem themselves. I still think they are a good team. Notre Dame is basically Iowa State and they are missing their starting QB. And for the record Utah won the CK Award, but I think that Utah has become immune to it's powers.

QBT is now 8-21-1 on the year.
