Quick Buck Thursday

QBT is back! Now that football season has been put to rest, and thankfully it was given QBT's record, we're going to take a swing at some hoops. With so many games happening we'll take a look at Thursday's action in hopes that you can go into the weekend's activities with a pocket full of cash.

Let's look at the games we like:

7:00 pm ET
Vanderbilt @ Alabama -5
All the signs point to Vandy taking this game. That's probably why the line has slid from Bama -7 to Bama -5. I know Vandy is the better offensive team, but when you have a good defensive team at home vs a team that relies on the three on the road, I'll take the home team that plays solid defense.

8:00 pm ET
Arkansas State @ Middle Tennessee -14.5
MTSU scores a ton. If you're not comfortable giving up all those points, a potential look might be the over at 123.5. But MTSU is 6-2 ATS at home and I like their offense. Add to that, Ark St is just 1-7 ATS in it's last 8 games and they points don't concern me.

William Mary @ VCU -20
That's a ton of points again, I know. But W&M turns the ball over a lot and VCU can get after it on the offensive glass. Neither team is deadly efficient, but they play at an equal pace and VCU puts up a lot more points.

8:30 pm ET
California @ Washington PK
Washington will look to speed up this game a bit. If they can force Cal to play fast, they'll have a good chance. I think the Huskies will get extra chances on the offensive glass and that will be the difference in the game.

10:00 pm ET
CS-Northridge @ Santa Barbara -15
The line for some reason has shifted towards Northridge from -18. I think it may have to do with UCSB's bizarre end and OT loss to Riverside. I think the Gauchos refocus and take care of business.

New Mexico State -7.5 @ San Jose State
In my only road pick, I don't think 7.5 is enough. The Aggies are better in all four factors, demonstrably better. This being the first game in the road trip, I think they'll be fresh and focused. This could be a blowout.
