The Divination Record
This week
SU: 4-1
ATS: 4-1

Season
SU: 21-9
ATS: 13-15

Week 7 Divination
It's mid-season and I feel as if I'm hitting my stride. Let's see if the momentum can carry us another week.

Arizona State (4-1, 2-0 Pac-12) @ Colorado (1-4, 1-1 Pac-12)
Thursday 10/11, 9:00 ET ESPN
Line: ASU - 23

It's a Thursday game and I usually don't like picking Thursday games because if things go awry it can ruin the weekend. On the flip side, if you win you can always take that and parlay it into another wager on Saturday. Not much to say here other than: Colorado. You know how I feel about the Buffaloes this season. Todd Graham has the Sun Devils playing well and I think the is a favorable line for AZ St. ASU 45 - 6.

Syracuse (2-3, 1-0 Big East) @ (20) Rutgers (5-0, 2-0 Big East)
Saturday 10/13, 12:00 ET, Big East Network/ESPN3
Line: Rutgers -7

Oh the Big East. I still have nightmares about last year having to watch those games each week.

I think Rutgers has been undervalued all season. Syracuse has struggled against good defenses thus far. They are also 1-4 ATS. If this were in the dome, I may avoid this one, but it's in Jersey so game on. The Orange passing game may give Rutgers fits, but not enough to win or cover the 7. Rutgers 28 - 12.

Toledo (5-1, 3-0 MAC) @ Eastern Michigan (0-5, 0-2)
Saturday, 10/13, 1:00 ET
Line: Toledo -14

Yes, I going back to the MAC. Toledo is 5-1 ATS and EMU is 1-4. Toledo was good to me last week and this week find themselves with a favorable matchup and line. It's another week and EMU still remains winless. Toledo 34 - 17.

(4) Florida (5-0, 4-0 SEC) @ Vanderbilt (2-3, 1-2 SEC)
Saturday, 10/13, 6:00 ET ESPNU
Line: Florida -8.5

The big question is: will Florida have a hangover after last week? I don't think so. Florida is in the top five and has a National Championship on it's mind. Vandy has already struggled against SCAR and Georgia and I think Florida's defense is better than both. I think Florida starts off slow, but kicks in in gear in the second half. Florida 24 - 9.

GOTW
(3) South Carolina (6-0, 4-0 SEC) @ (9) LSU (5-1, 1-1 SEC)
Saturday, 10/13, 8:00 ET ESPN
Line: LSU - 3

Wow, two SEC games. SEC Guy would be proud.

Look, I think we saw what LSU has to offer last week. It's clear that this is not a typical LSU team. I know that LSU is good at night in Death Valley, but I still think the Tigers are living on name alone. SCAR has probably the best defense it's had since Spurrier stepped on campus. I think SCAR smacks the Tigers in the mouth and gets the upset. SCAR 30 - 23.
