Week 11 Divination

I can't lie, I had weird feelings about the picks last week. I should've trusted my gut. Thinking long term. Thinking long term. So lets shake that off and get back to winning this week.

Army (2-7) @ (23) Rutgers (7-1, 4-0 Big East)
Saturday 11/10, Noon ET, ESPNU
Line: Rutgers -17

Rutgers had a bye-week to stew about their undefeated season being flushed down the drain, so you can't look at this as a let down game. I actually think quite the opposite is going to happen. Not only will they be fired up, but they had an extra week to prepare for Army's option attack. Army is just 3-6 ATS and their two wins came against not so good Air Force and BC. Rutgers rolls.

Rutgers 38 - 13

Colorado (1-8, 1-5 Pac-12) @ Arizona (5-4, 2-4 Pac-12)
Saturday 11/10, 1:30 pm ET, FX
Line: Arizona -30.5

Colorado continues its march of ineptitude this week on the road in Tuscon. And what better way for the Wildcats to bounce back from a brutal loss than against CU? Even if starting QB Matt Scott doesn't go, BJ Denker will be fine which results in CU moving to 1-9 ATS. Rich Rod knows this is his best chance to get bowl eligible and he won't let that pass him up.

Arizona 58 - 20

West Virginia (5-3, 2-3 Big XII) @ Oklahoma St (5-3, 3-2 Big XII)
Saturday 11/10, 3:30 pm ET, ABC/ESPN2
Line: Ok St -7.5

Speaking of bad against the spread, WVU is sitting at a profitable 2-6. Meanwhikle the Cowboy's only loss ATS was against Texas and they only missed that by 2 points. We all know about WVU's problems on defense, which is the perfect remedy for another back up QB to hold down the fort while the starter is on the mend. Chelf got some good reps against a tough defense last week, so if Lunt doesn't go, I think the Cowboys will be fine. I don't think 7.5 are enough points, but you may sweat it out until the end. As as side note, there is no way this game stays under 79.

Oklahoma State 55 - 38

(18) UCLA (7-2, 4-2 Pac-12) @ Washington State (2-7, 0-6 Pac-12)
Saturday 11/10, 10:30 pm ET, ESPN2
Line: UCLA -14.5

There may be a mutiny on the Ol Pirate's ship up in Pullman. They've suspended their best receiver this week, to add insult to injury. Throw in that they are 0-7 against spreads under 15 and you've got my attention. UCLA just destroyed Arizona at home and are in the driver's seat for the Pac-12 South division. UCLA should have success running the ball against the 78th ranked rushing defense. Look for them to win comfortably.

UCLA 39 - 17

(11) Oregon State (7-1, 4-1) @ (14) Stanford (7-2, 5-1)
Saturday 11/10, 3:00 pm ET, Fox
Line: Stanford -4.5

Which of these two teams wants the eventual loss to Oregon to mean more? That's what this game comes down to. The Beavers are a very good run defense and that is what Stanford tries to do best. Oregon State is susceptible to the pass, but The Cardinal haven't exactly been lighting it up through the air. And maybe that's why they've made the change to SO QB, Kevin Hogan. Conversely, Stanford is 105th in pass defense and the Beavers have put up some good passing numbers. Cody Vaz is staying put at starting QB after the Beavers suffered their first loss while trying to reinsert Sean Mannion at QB. I just think Oregon State is the better team here. They're offense is much more efficient and the defense is on par with Stanford. It's going to be a low scoring affair so consider the under 45, at the very least I'm calling for the upset in this game.

Oregon State 20 - 17
