Quick Buck Thursday: Staying Positive

I only hit two of three last week, but the key is knowing when to go big and when to stay low.

Unit Roll - 53 Units

UNLV +1 @ Air Force - 2 Units
I'm breaking all kinds of rules with this one: Betting UNLV on the road and going against a service academy. NV Nole would kick me in the head on this one. I think Hauk is finally turning the corner with UNLV. They are actually 3-1 ATS on the road. And if you're ever going to get a win in Colorado Springs, this is the year. The Falcons are down. Take the point and say it with me: "Bowl Eligible UNLV Runnin Rebels".

Michigan State -7 @ Northwestern - 2 Units
I'm not really worried that this is back to back road games for Sparty. NW is reeling right now. Losing to Michigan in triple overtime last week was the final nail in the coffin for the poor Wildcats. This team is done.

Cincinnati @ Houston -3 - 5 Units
Tough couple road games for the Cougars. But they are still 9-1 ATS this season. This line continues to move towards the Bearcats which is just fine with me.

Bowling Green -24.5 @ Eastern Michigan - 3 Units
EMU is 2-8 ATS, one cover was last week against WMU. The Falcons are a nice 7-3 ATS. I'd be surprised if EMU scores in this game.

Idaho @ Florida State -57 - 2 Units
It makes me nervous too. At the very least take FSU in the first half. Which was my initial thought, but then I thought, I'm not sure if Idaho can score against FSU's backups. So I threw it in the mix. Honestly though, wait for that first half number and jump on it. Jimbo's gonna rest his starters in anticipation for next weekend at Florida.

The Baylor Bears Bonus Over Of The Week
LSU @ Texas A&M - Over 71
Last week was nice hitting both these bonuses. This week should be no different. I love hitting all these overs in the defensive minded SEC!!!!

The Bob Drake "I need another team for my 21-team teaser: Double Bonus
Michigan @ Iowa - Under 46
It's a policy of mine never to bet on Michigan, which is why I won't play this. But this game is going to be a field goal fest. Michigan's offense is stuck in some sort of proverbial sludge and the Hawkeyes are led by Kirk Ferentz. He knows Michigan can't really score so he'll be happy to kick field goals until the sun sets.
