Quick Buck Thursday: Reminiscing

Last week we inched closer to .500 for the season. Which means we are trending in the right direction. The highlight of the week was of course the big Arizona State win.

I was told that I should note I am pulling my lines from which are typically an average of all the lines posted on there. And of course the lines you see here are lines from Wednesday, which may not be the most updated come game time. For example if you had waited on the BYU line you could have gotten -17 and a push last week.

But enough disclaimer talk, let’s get to this week.

Bank Roll: 85 units
Season record: 12-13
Bonus record: 7-5

Central Michigan +7.5 @ Western Michigan – 5 units
One of my favorite college memories was attending Western-Central weekend in 1993. I remember being drunk and on the news, listening to Counting Crows on repeat all night and driving back to Chicago at hasty speeds Monday morning to make it to class on time. I loved college.

Anyway, Central has looked good against real teams so far and are 4-0 ATS. Gimme the points in this rivalry game.

Indiana +6.5 @ Penn State – 5 units
This line was temporarily off the board. I believe they were waiting to see if Sudfeld and/or Howard are going to play for Indiana. Regardless, you saw how Diamont performed last week against Ohio State. If you can still get the points take em with glee.

Miami OH @ Ohio -16 – 5 units
Ohio is legit good. Miami OH isn’t so good. The Bobcats are 4-1 ATS on the season and usually solid at home. Enjoy your Saturday MACtion as the start time will allow you to flip over during the 9:00 games' halftime.

Kent St @ Toledo -15 – 5 Units
It’s a big Midwest week on QBT this week apparently. But honestly, can you ever have too much MACtion?

I say no.

Toledo has yet to lose against the spread and should keep that trend up this week. Kent State does have a decent defense, so this cover may not come until later in the game. Just hang in there and enjoy the ride.

San Jose St @ UNLV +3 – 5 units
I think I’m becoming a Tony Sanchez, believer. Maybe because I’ve been listening to a lot local sports radio. I don't know, but the Rebels head man has things starting to roll.

The Rebels are on a two game win streak; the last over rival Nevada. This week they come back home with a bit of confidence. San Jose’s lone win is against a terrible Fresno State team. Give me the confident home dog for the win.

The Baylor Bears Bonus Over of the Week
New Mexico State @ Ole Miss – Over 66.5
Ole Miss got beat down last week. What better remedy for that than to beat the snot out of a lowly Lobos team at home? I don’t know if New Mexico State can score in this game, but I’m not sure they have to get the cover.

The Bob Drake “I need another team for my 21-team teaser” Double Bonus
Georgia Tech @ Clemson – Under 54.5
Should’ve trusted my gut last week with Northwestern.

Sorry Pop.

So this week we go with an under to make up for last week’s mistake.

The Best Bet of the Week Triple Bonus
Virginia +335 @ Pittsburgh
Virginia’s S&P numbers are better than Pitts.

Virginia has played three top 25 teams and William and Mary.

Pitt’s beat Youngstown State, Akron and an underachieving Virginia Tech team.

Stranger things have happened.
